Lunar Lovers
Rising with the full orb.
Knee deep in the steaming blond grasses.
Drifting to the water edge

Mining ocher in the desert at night under a full moon
Draining substance from veins of color in the desert under a full moon

Saw something (It could not be a rabbit because rabbits do not climb trees)

Pickle grass tumbled out over the salt marshes
And snowy egrets seeking snails and other sweet meats amongst the marshy grasses.
In seeking the fog I had lost sight of the East Bay Bridge.
Still the golden hills, shrouded in a thin mist, burn in the distance
Going where the the wind blows.
Knowing what the wind knows.

July 5, 2009The flickering of prickly stars in the mud bone firmament as I walk.
The ground as sky with stars at the end of green stalks.
A forest of celestial bodies.
In a tilled field a over to the right grow a red rash of a plant on some tilled mud
Pickle grass tumbled out over the salt marshes
Muck paths
paths of much through corridors of pickle grass
It could not be a rabbit because rabbits do not climb trees
but then it’s not a tree in any case
it is a dried branch of some long dead bush
In seeking the fog I had lost sight of the bridge and still the golden hills burned in the distance
going where the the wind blows
knowing what the wind knows
Palm tree paradise beckons across a tourquise lagoon
Waiting for my ship to come in
sails unfurled an coming in the clouds

Waiting on the New Moon.
Waiting for madness on an Alien sea.
Slowly at first.
Picking up speed as goosebumps line the flesh of naked arms
A shiver of anticipation as delicious as a cool breeze
and Spring petals floating on the rippled waters of a mountain lake.
Fresh sent rises from the piney woods
spoor, blood warm on a moonless night.
We feast lest we fade
and we shun the burning fires of a just sun at first light
