It is the Year of the OX. It is approaching the time of the Spring Festival. The Chinese New Year begins on the 2nd or third new moon after the Winter Solstice and ends on the first full moon there after. Or maybe it begins the first lunar month after the 12th lunar month. Whatever.
The surplus fish festival. Happy Lucky Fish.
With fish and feast and dumplings, saying goodbye to yesterday. Greeting a New Year like a new family member.
It is variously call the Lantern Festival and Spring Festival and Lunar New Year.
