The Next Industrial Revolution: The Green One

By poetryman69

With any luck, the government will lead the next industrial revolution by going green. We need to get the government off the grid–including the military. In my view, private American citizens should never be coerced into anything. Government, and by this I mean local, state and federal governments, are a different matter. All government executives and legislators should mandate that government use only domestically produced fuels from this point forward. This is phase one. In phase two, governments at all levels should either buy greener cars and energy off the shelf or should let contracts to have private industry compete to create the green technology and energy the government needs. The goal is to enhance both the economic and physical security of the United States by getting off foreign oil and ensuring the future of the American economy by managing the next industrial revolution.

In the mean time the goal for the civilian economy is more and cheaper energy. It should start with Drill here, drill now, pay less and the pump. It should continue with government removing obstacles to more clean coal, more nuclear and more natural gas usage.
