Their beloved bureaucratese, that fabled jargon they hold dear was no more. They loved it for it is a double edged sword that with downward thrust can be used to hide their own ignorance and incompetence and in an upward thrust can be counted on to confuse the populace and make damn sure no one knows what pencil necked geeks and paper pushers are doing or why.
